There is a wide belief that the way to a man’s heart is food. Undisputedly, this is one of the ways. However, ‘Submission’ remains an important way to a man’s heart. Submission is never marked over to be seen as easy or always convenient. There is a misconception that Nigerian men are difficult to satisfy, but in reality, this is far from the truth, the key to your man’s heart is submission!
You are actively regarded as submissive when you choose to put yourself under leadership, choose to be subordinate in a circumstance or relationship. This is not usually forced upon the women by their partners. Submission should not be confused with a person being weak, it is so beneficial to healthy marital relationships, these benefits include:
1. To demonstrate leadership
A woman shows submission unto her husband when she allows him to take leadership in the relationship. Women are not commanded to submit to their husband’s because it is arraigned that men will be just or loving. When a woman submits unto her husband, she is actually submitting unto the norms and giving room for peace and unity in the marital relationship.
2. To demonstrate encouragement
In a healthy marriage, husband and wife work as a team. A submissive wife is not relegated to idly sitting by while her husband makes all the family decisions, rather she offers profuse encouragement and offer advice or counsel when necessary.
3. To demonstrate humility
It takes humility for a woman to be submissive to her partner. We have so many propagating for equal rights amongst the two genders, however in order to experience happiness and unity in marital relationship, it takes humility to show submission to your partner and accord him the respect due to him.
4. To demonstrate harmony
One of the most important ingredients of a happy relationship is harmony. Typically, Nigerian men have ego and like to dominate, in order to achieve harmony or coordination in your marital relationship, endeavour to reach mutual agreement when making important, positive decisions that doesn’t violate your human rights.
5. To demonstrate motivation
Women are often tempted to dominate and control their men if they are more popular, richer or older. This often scares the man away and eventually breaks the marriage. Avoid the temptation to dominate your partner if you are more privileged than him. Avoid being boastful and controlling your man or mothering him because you may destroy his motivation and make him turn his attention away from you. Allow him to make mistakes, motivate him and respect him.
In order to win your man’s heart, love or affection and generosity, be submissive to him and appreciate the little things he does for you to encourage him. A man can go out of his way to please a submissive woman and make her happy.
