How To Get Airtel 2GB With 200 Naira For Two Weeks

Airtel🍻 has introduced a whooping data deal of 2gb for just 200 naira valid for two weeks. This plan is accessible in all devices meaning you can use it for your PC (Personal computer) and all other mobile devices like tabs, palm tops, laptops, java and any smart android phones. But one thing to note is that this plan requires you to use on only a 2G EDGE (Enhanced Data GSM Environment) Network. So in this post, I am going to show you how to activate the plan, and then also show you how to set the connection on

your modem so that you can be connected with your modem because by default, the modem is set to use WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) or HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) network connection methods. So therefore, you should reconsider changing this to suit your use in modem. But note that this does not really get effects on most java and android phones, because they are set to automatically accept any network type that comes across them this is as a result of GPRS functionality in these devices.

 

How to set up the modem

In other to set up your modem from WCDMA/HSPA to an EDGE network, follow the procedures in the photos below or meanwhile use this simple step. Launch your Modem, do not connect the modem. Then locate where you will see, Tools (in some cases, settings – tools) (my device – tools)

then click on the tool menu and click on options. Don't also forget that these steps varies from modem to modem and therefore has different perspectives in implementation of this tutorial.

Now choose network setting and finally you will see some options on the right and index left of the network setting.

By default it is set at automatic. Leave it like that and check on the right, change the default modem setting from WCDMA preferred/Only to GSM preferred/Only. Note that the preferred and only works the same. So you have to choose any one not minding the work-ability of the data connection. Click on Apply/Ok/save and accept any changes then you can start using your benefited 2gb mobile data on your modem.

To subscribe and get 2gb, recharge a minimum of N200 on your Airtel line sim card and dial *482# a pop up will show indicating options to which you should subscribe for either 200 or 500Naira respectively for a validity of given time. Select the first option which uses 200naira and then accept the next commands by pressing 1. That will go a long way to help you enjoy your 2gb for 200 on your modem versus your PC.
